How To Scramble An Egg

Did you know that scrambling an egg is so easy you can do it with your eyes closed!

However, I wouldn’t recommend it 🙂

Start by cracking the eggs into a bowl and scramble until you break up the structure.

Use a non-stick pan, a wooden spoon or silicone spatula to cook the eggs. Please don’t use a rubber spatula 🙂  Keep a separate non-stick pan designated just for your eggs.

Butter burns at a low temperature, so keep the heat on low. Use good AA grade butter such as Kerry Gold, President, Finlandia, Plugra or any other type of European style butter.

Once the butter begins to sizzle have the eggs ready to cook.  This is an indication that the water is evaporating the fat is hot.

Cook the eggs gently by scraping the sides and constantly move the eggs. As you scramble the eggs you’ll notice curds forming. Once you get closer to getting them cooked, take the pan off the heat and use the residual heat to finish the eggs. Add the cheese once the eggs are plated.

Start to finish, It shouldn’t take more than 2 minutes to scramble an egg.

Good scrambled eggs should be moist and have a shiny texture.
