Hi Ladies and Gents!

Khoresht fesenjan is one of my favorite Persian stews! It’s a walnut , pomegranate based stew with sweet and sour elements. This is a special occasion dish. At least that’s what I was told growing up. My parents weren’t fans of sweet dishes and preferred the savory ,herb loaded khoresht (stews) instead.

      Ingredients
      • 4 cups Walnuts
      • 1/4 cup Pomegranate Concentrate
      • 1-2 lbs Dark meat (thighs, legs)
      • 1 pinch Saffron diluted in 1 cup of hot water
      • 1 teaspoon Salt
      • 1 medium onion
      • 2 tablespoons canola/ safflower oil
